Kelti Baker is co-founder of Exceeding Excellence Education Foundation (EEEF), a non-profit dedicated to supporting parents as they navigate their children's educational choices. She has successfully created and run a micro-school and is active in assisting educational reform in the Idaho legislature.

An NAIA athlete in college and daughter of a former NFL football player and coach, the mother to 4 active boys credits her upbringing in the gym and weight room for her vision for Idaho Sports Academy as a place to host quality education, hand-in-hand with building character and leadership qualities.

Her continued vision of an educational system that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and growth is infused in the organizations she co-founded. Kelti firmly believes all education should be student-centered and not micro-driven by programs or policies. She believes the qualities infused by the Idaho Sports Academy will benefit Idaho athletes as they continue on their desired life paths.

Kelti has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Boise State, where she spent time researching Educational Psychology. She also has a BS in Nursing from Idaho State University through the accelerated nursing program in Meridian. She volunteers in multiple capacities, including as a board member for Meridian PAL Flag Football, her church youth group, and with the many teams on which her 4 boys participate.

Joseph Borders
Sports Director

Joseph Borders is a devoted husband of 15 years and proud father to four boys, ages 14, 13, 11, and 7. Family drives everything he does, and his passion for athletics and mentorship has shaped both his personal and professional path.

As an OTA-certified strength and conditioning trainer, Joseph brings a wealth of knowledge and hands‑on experience to every athlete he works with. Over the past seven years, he has coached football at multiple levels and spent a year coaching basketball, expanding his ability to connect with athletes across sports. His coaching philosophy is rooted not in winning at all costs, but in developing athletes holistically—building confidence, resilience, and character alongside physical skills.

Joseph’s athletic journey began in middle school, where he discovered his love for competition and teamwork. He went on to become a multi‑sport athlete in high school, competing in football, basketball, and track. As an adult, he stayed active through flag football and recreational softball, modeling lifelong fitness for his children and the athletes he mentors.

His coaching career began when his oldest son was eight, sparking a mission to make a lasting impact on young athletes. What started as supporting his own children grew into a commitment to developing youth in his community. Joseph has since expanded his expertise in strength training, nutrition, and leadership development, ensuring his athletes receive guidance that extends beyond the field or court.

Today, Joseph is recognized as a mentor who values growth, resilience, and character above all else.
